 THE KELLER SISTERS:
Sheryl and Kerry grew up in San Francisco and started singing and performing together in glee clubs, choirs and musical theater when they were very young .
Daughters of film and theater performer " Eileen Christy " the summers were spent on the road learning from the best . They were also discovering guitars and folk music. They started playing as a duo in their teens performing an eclectic mix of folk, country rock and standards.
After years playing rock and blues with the " Blue Tuesday " band in the San Francisco Bay area they decided to reform the duo and in 2012 " The Keller Sisters " began performing at local venues armed with original songs and started getting booked at songwriter showcases which was a new and exciting experience. Their original music combines storytelling , personal experience , humor and warmth and their style has been called American Folk Pop.
The sisters released their first CD "Shine" in November 2012 and followed up with the release of their second CD " House of Cards " in December of 2014. Songs from both CDs have received honorable mentions in 2 International songwriting competitions and they are currently in the planning stages of their 3rd CD.
They have played local venues , clubs , showcases and festivals and are having so much fun sharing their music and making new friends. In 2015 the sisters are focusing on reaching a wider audience and they are thrilled to be opening for Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks on tour in the Pacific Northwest in May. The also will be playing a showcase at American River Festival in September and are planning some mini tours of California .. ... " House of Cards " will be hitting the National Radio Airwaves in March of 2015 and is already charting on the Folk Rock Charts ...
